My JVC Camcorder does not record video but it does audio

What can be wrong with my JVC GR- D347u camcorder? It is not recording video. It will record audio. Its not that old and probally has only been used 4 times. What can be wrong with it? It was fine the last time we used it bout a week ago. It wasn't dropped or anything.
No the lens cap is not on and yes still able to play back

    Is the lens cap on? Can you still play back the tapes you recorded last week?
