How to use a Sony Camcorder as a Webcam!!?

I need help making my Sony DCR-HC38 work as a webcam. I've tried using it with Yahoo Messenger and AIM Messenger and both seem to not cooperate with me. I am using a fire wire to connect the camcorder to my computer. I recall doing this in the past and it worked but now I cannot get it operate......Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

   There is an youtube video that explains it pretty well.

   I think you can use an Easy Cap wire, if your camcorder has A/V output. You can plug it in into the Easy Cap, which converts the signals into a USB, plug it in, and it should work as an webcam. You might have to download some third party software and drivers and such for it to work, but after that, it should work.
