@kalambalikis thats not true at all. ya its true that most that say 1080p are in 1080i but you can go to your local bestbuy or what ever you have in euope and find a true 1080p camera for around $500. (dont know what that is in euros)
Why Sony and all of its cameras removes the ability to embed Date and Time on their media files (Videos and Pictures)… Knowing the date on videos are important cause its part of family memories, The DATE AND TIME… I should go for Canon… they always put that feature in… God Damn-it! SONY
Just bought this camcorder. It’s very nice, but if you are looking for a “one-camera” solution (that records great video AND still shots) this is not it. The Still PIC resolution is LESS THAN 1MP – may I repeat – LESS THAN 1 MP. Other than that, I LOVE this camcorder!!! Very simple – zoom is out of this world great!!!! Most people don’t “NEED” HD, and this baby is a perfect price range!
Anyone know why the video I take on this camera looks like shit when I transfer the video to my computer? I don’t know if I need a program or something but the videos look grayish and its annoying because the video looks so good on the lcd.
Just got one today. This thing is great! Mine is red though. :p So easy to use and getting stuff on the pc and the supplied software is a snap. You dont even need the book manual. The zoom is incredible. The only thing is i have to get used to is theres no viewfinder. I keep turning it on and putting it up my eye lol.

How can a camcorder not be HD but have HD features? I have this model, and the image resolution once uploaded on youtube for ex. isn’t good.
