does the Flip camcorder take pictures as well as record video?
Posted by video1 on September 3rd, 2010
I'm interested in getting a Flip camcorder and I only want it if it captures pictures as well as video. I went to the Flip website and it mentions nothing about taking pictures. I apologize if this is a stupid question but I know basically nothing about the Flip camcorders and I wanted to make sure I knew everything it did before spending 0+ on it.

Flipshare can capture images from your videos or just use another video software to take pictures from flip video. Both are OK with good quality.

Yes, it does take pictures, but like the video, it won’t be the best quality. The Flip recorders are convenient, but just don’t count on it for particularly good quality images or video.
if you want to capture images ,try PCHand Screen Capture.it could capture anything on the screen with flexible capturing profiles.http://www.screen-capture-record.com/screen-capture.html
if you want to capture video ,try PCHand Screen Recorder.it could record anything on the screen including video, audio and mouse movement ect.http://www.screen-capture-record.com/screen-recorder.html
if you want to capture both. try PCHand Screen Capture Recorder Suite.it’s easy to use and very pretty good.http://www.screen-capture-record.com/
No, the Flip does not take pictures. The Kodak Zi8 does easily take pictures and video though: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002HOQ08S?ie=UTF8&tag=thebubrocpro-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B002HOQ08S
I once read a blog post, introducing a good way. go to read it, it is helpful.

the video sucks on both. If you want real HD on a camera that takes good video and photos you are going need to spend at least $2,000-5,000. I’ll get the cannon 5d mark ii.
