How is a good $700 HD Camcorder better than the iPhone 4 Camera?

Obviously a higher quality camera is going to produce a much better picture quality than the iPhone 4's camera (or any of the pocket cameras that shoot HD video). But looking at the statistics, they both claim to shoot "1080 dpi" video and 30 frames for seconds. It just doesn't make sense to me. Accessories, Micjacks, and Filters aside, what else determines the video quality?

    Well the optics are the major difference. The IPhone 4 is great, it does so many things. Even the picture quality is amazing for the size and amount the phone has in it. But Its quality is nothing compared to an actual professional camcorder. They do produce the same resolution, but not the same footage. Not dogging the IPhone cause they rock, but you want a real camcorder if you gonna be using it for actual production.

    get the camcorder since its purpose was for recording and has better sound.
