I was testing out the video resolution of my camcorder in daylight and after reviewing the footage I noticed how clearly the sound was originating from the subject shoveling his driveway from between 1/8th - 1/4 mile away. Notice there is a delay between the video and the audio. That is because the light photons of him shoveling travel at light speed whereas the sound of him shoveling take much longer to travel to the microphone of my camcorder. I should note that while this camera has average video quality in high light areas such as outdoors, this camera's video quality is less than bad in indoor conditions. When indoors this camcorder produces video that is similar in quality to that if you were to hire a courtroom sketch artist to draw in chalk really really fast. But the audio microphone is very sensitive. The constant clicking you hear is due to the internal image stabilization motors trying to physically adjust the position of the capture sensor to the lens. You might see waves or wavy image distortions in the video...this is due to me filming from inside my warm house through a wide open door to the below freezing outdoors. The waves are a result of my paycheck blowing out of the open door. This is similar to the visual wave effect experienced when looking through the heat waves of a campfire.
