I've had the Kodak Zi8 for a few months now, and I've found its very handy when you want to place a small camera in a dangerous situation. I often use the Zi8 when I want to through something off of a building or need a first persons perspective of a baseball bat hitting a head. The Kodak Zi8 provides good enough HD video quality for these types of situations. I audio input and volume control is a great plus, and this camera could also make a great little vlog device. One thing to remember is that you can always sink audio to these smaller hd devices. So if you wanted to combine this with something like the zoom H1 you can probably get some very usable results.
