I've got a far better results than the initial reviews that I've seen in YouTube, sorry guys... I used Class 6 SDHC card and recommend it highly, do not use slow speed flash memory cards, ever! using fast speed flash memory card & a tripod ensures creating your best, and it should get rid of jello effects and choppy videos. sweet spot for this high definition MP4 Bloggie should have been between 9.00 - 9.00 to give a jolt to Flipsss... also a slip-on lens shade and a manual focus on this Bloggie would be too much to ask... it's an awesome toy-camcorder for the money! enjoy. edited w PowerDirector v8 25Mar10 SD updated 02Apr10 / 08Jul10
Areas of interest and which is better, the Creative Vado HD or the Flip Ultra HD. Design - Vado - Smaller but does not stand up without a tripod. LCD Display - Ultra - Hands down the LCD us much brighter and more clear. Batteries - Ultra - Has rechargeable AA pack and will use standard AA batteries. Controls - Ultra - Almost a tie but Vado power button is hard to push. Lens - Vado - For it's wide angle lens Low Light - Vado - Both kinda suck but the Vado has less noise. However, the Ultra has more gain. Indoors - Tie - Both are very similar indoors with decent light. Outdoors - Ultra - The Flip has better color and sharper video. Colors - Ultra - More realistic colors. To me, the Vado looks over processed. Saturation - Ultra - Vado is over saturated. Sound - Ultra - Hands down winner here. The Vado sound is low and muffled. Ultra is crisp and clear. Mac Support - Ultra - I'm a Mac user, the Ultra is made with Mac user in mind. iMovie imports the .MP4 files directly. The Vado .AVI files require conversion before they can be imported into iMovie. At the end of the day, for me the Flip Ultra HD is a better buy. It's a bit more expensive, a bit larger, and does not have the wide angle lens. However, it's better video quality, far superior sound quality and the fact that it is Mac friendly totally make up for that.
