EINAR IVERSEN\nPianist and composer, born 1930 in Mandal, Norway.\nEinar Iversen began his career around 1949, when he worked as a jazz pianist around Oslo, playing with musicians such as Rowland Greenberg, Bjarne Nerem, Kristian Bergheim and Egil Johansen.\nIn the 1950\'s he also played with musicians like Anthony Ortega, The Modern Jazz Quartet, Mikkel Flagstads Quartet and his own trio; Einar Iversen Trio.\nHe was given the Buddy award in 1958.\nIn the late 1950\'s and in the 1960\'s Iversen accompanied various visiting musicians in Oslo, and at the Molde Jazz Festival. Among these were Coleman Hawkins, Dexter Gordon, Ben Webster, Johnny Griffin, Art Taylor, Lucky Thompson and Tubby Hayes.\nIn the late 1960\'s and 70\'s Iversen played mostly in theatre orchestras, with occasional club appearances with among others Swedish singer Monica Zetterlund and clarinettist Putte Wickman.\nHe also played with Svend Asmussen and Stuff Smith in Sweden 1965.\nIn 1978 he toured Sweden with the renowned Swedish artist Povel Ramel.\nThis video is a recording from Norwegian broadcasting, NRK 1992\nDirected by Knut Andre Danielsen\n\n\n\nmantor
