Gwen McCrae (born Gwen Mosley, 21 December 1943, Pensacola, Florida, United States) is an American R&B singer, Gwen has been singing for over 40 years but is mostly remembered for her disco hits \"Rocking Chair\" in 1974 and 1981\'s \"Funky Sensation\" and \"Keep the fire burning\". Born Gwen Moseley in 1943, Gwen met George McCrae in the 60s and within a week, they were married. \n\nBetty Wright got Gwen and George to sign with Henry Stone in 1967, they recorded duets that did well regionally. Gwen recorded \"Lead me on\" in 1970, it was later picked up by Columbia records and topped the charts. She later had a few minor hits, then it was George\'s turn to hit it big with \"Rock your baby\" in 1973, in 1974, it was Gwen\'s turn with \"Rocking Chair\". \n\nGeorge and Gwen\'s careers, together and separately spans decades, the 70s being their most prolific. For this reason, they are considered disco icons, even if they dabbled with R&B, Funk, Soul and Gospel as well.\n\"All This Love That I\'m Giving\" later became a favorite on Britain\'s Northern soul scene.
